1. Take a clear plastic bottle and cut it in half horizontally. 2. Invert the top half into the bottom half to create a funnel. 3. Fill the bottom half with water to the 0 cm mark. 4. Place the rain gauge outside in an open area away from trees. 5. After it rains, measure the water level in cm with a ruler. 6. Record the rainfall amount in your notebook and share it with your family.
