      The learning connection

This hands-on activity employs embodied cognition, as children physically manipulate the wheel to showcase different weather types. By engaging with concrete materials, they can better internalize abstract concepts related to weather changes and seasons.

      Extend the Lesson

      Try it with your learner

      1. Cut a cardboard circle about 30 cm in diameter. 2. Divide the circle into 4 equal sections and label them: Sunny, Rainy, Cloudy, Windy. 3. Attach a paper clip to the center using a push pin to allow it to spin freely. 4. Color each section with crayons to make it vibrant. 5. Go outside and look at the sky; spin the wheel to match the weather. 6. Discuss with your family what you observed and how it feels.
