1. Gather materials: a plastic bottle, rubber bands, a tin can, and a wooden stick. 2. Stretch rubber bands around the bottle or tin can, keeping them taut. 3. Pluck the rubber bands and listen to the different sounds they make. 4. Tap the can with the stick and observe how it vibrates to create sound. 5. Experiment with different tensions and thicknesses of rubber bands to change pitches. 6. Share your favorite sound creation with a family member — how did you make it?
