      1. Gather materials: paper balls of varying sizes for planets and a long strip of paper for distances. 2. Label each planet on the paper strip: Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. 3. Research the scaled distances (e.g., Sun to Mercury = 0.4 m, Sun to Earth = 1.5 m). 4. Measure and mark each planet's position on the strip according to the scale. 5. Inflate the paper balls to represent each planet and place them at their corresponding distances on the strip. 6. Discuss with your partner which planet is the farthest and which is the closest — what did you learn about our solar system?
