Try it with your learner
1. Gather 3 types of soil: clay, sand, and loamy soil (about 1 cup each). 2. Find a clear plastic container or bottle to create a layered view. 3. Begin layering the soils in the container: start with clay at the bottom, then sand, and lastly loamy soil on top. 4. Use small stones or pebbles to represent buildings; place them on top of the soil layers. 5. Discuss with your family how each soil type might help or hinder plant growth. 6. Share your mini city and explain why you chose the soil layers you did.
