1. Take 3 dried kidney beans and soak them in water overnight. 2. Prepare a small pot with soil and create a hole in the center. 3. Place one soaked bean in the hole and cover it with soil. 4. Water the bean until the soil is moist but not soggy. 5. Place the pot in a sunny spot and check daily for changes. 6. Record your observations in a journal — what's happening to the bean?
