      Try it with your learner

      1. Gather 5 different colors of modeling clay (or playdough). 2. Create a small sphere for the parent cell using a mix of colors. 3. Roll out two smaller spheres for the daughter cells after dividing the parent cell's color. 4. Form additional shapes to represent chromosomes at different stages of mitosis: prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. 5. Arrange the shapes in order on a flat surface to depict the process visually. 6. Share your model with a family member and explain each stage of mitosis.
