      Try it with your learner

      1. Gather salt, sugar, sand, and water. 2. In a clear glass, mix 1 tablespoon of salt with 1 cup of water. Stir it. 3. In another glass, mix 1 tablespoon of sugar with 1 cup of water. Stir it. 4. Take 1 tablespoon of sand and mix it with 1 cup of water in a third glass. Stir it. 5. Observe what happens in each glass and note the differences. 6. Discuss with Amma or Appa whether each mixture is a solution or not.
