1. Gather 10 small metal objects (like paperclips, coins, and screws) and 5 non-metal objects (like rubber, wood, and plastic). 2. Hide the metal objects around a designated area. 3. Give your child a magnet and ask them to find all the hidden treasures. 4. For each object found, have them classify it as magnetic or non-magnetic. 5. Count how many magnetic items were found versus non-magnetic items. 6. Discuss why certain materials were attracted to the magnet while others were not.
