Try it with your learner
1. Gather a handful of soil from your garden or a pot. 2. Take a strong magnet and move it around the soil. 3. Observe what sticks to the magnet — are there any metal pieces? 4. Collect the magnetic items and note their types (nails, iron filings, etc.). 5. Rinse the soil to see how non-magnetic materials differ. 6. Share your findings with Amma or Appa — what did you discover about your soil?
