      Using embodied cognition, children physically engage with the concept of electricity. The real-time feedback of balloon movements encourages them to hypothesize and observe cause and effect, reinforcing their understanding through active participation.

      Extend the Lesson

      Try it with your learner

      1. Inflate two balloons and tie them tightly. 2. Rub each balloon on your hair or a woolen cloth for 30 seconds. 3. Hold one balloon near the other without touching them. What happens? 4. Set two markers 2 meters apart as starting and finishing lines. 5. Release the balloons at the starting line and watch them race! 6. Discuss: Which balloon went farther? Why do you think that is?
