1. Gather a pencil, a small battery (1.5V), copper wire, and a small magnet. 2. Wrap one end of the copper wire around the pencil's middle section to create a coil. 3. Connect the other end of the wire to the battery terminals using tape. 4. Attach the magnet to the eraser end of the pencil. 5. Place the pencil on a flat surface and observe its movement when connected to the battery. 6. Experiment with different wire lengths — how does it affect the speed?
