1. Gather a clear jar with a lid, soil, small plants, pebbles, and tiny insects (like ants). 2. Layer pebbles at the bottom of the jar for drainage. 3. Add soil above the pebbles, filling it halfway. 4. Plant small plants in the soil and add a few ants carefully. 5. Close the jar with the lid and place it in indirect sunlight. 6. Observe your ecosystem over the next week — what changes do you notice?
