1. Gather a metal spoon and a glass jar. 2. Fill the jar with varying amounts of water (1, 2, 3 cups). 3. Tap the spoon gently on the jar and listen to the sound. 4. Record the differences in pitch for each water level. 5. Experiment by tapping the jar more forcefully — what happens to the sound? 6.
