1. Gather a clear plastic bottle and cut it in half. 2. Collect soil samples from three different locations (e.g., garden, park, roadside). 3. Layer the soil samples into the bottle, starting with the coarsest at the bottom. 4. Observe the colors, textures, and layers. Label each layer. 5.
