Try it with your learner
1. Collect 3 different soil samples from your backyard or a park. Label them A, B, C. 2. Take a small handful of each soil type and feel its texture — is it gritty, smooth, or sticky? 3. Place a drop of water on each sample and observe how it changes. 4. Compare how the water interacts with each type — does it soak in quickly or form puddles? 5. Create a chart to categorize the soils you found based on texture and water absorption. 6. Share your findings with Amma or Appa — which soil do you think is best for planting?
