Try it with your learner
1. Choose a garden or potted plant area to dig about 30 cm deep. 2. Use a small spade to carefully remove the top layer of soil and observe its texture and color. 3. Set the top layer aside and repeat for the next layers underneath, noting any differences. 4. Place each layer in a clear container or tray to display them. 5. Draw a simple diagram of your findings, labeling each layer with its properties. 6. Share your diagram with Amma or Appa and discuss what plants need from each layer.
