Engaging in physical creation of the weather wheel utilizes embodied cognition, allowing children to connect concepts with real-life experiences. Tracking daily weather fosters spaced repetition, reinforcing learning as they observe changes over time.
1. Cut a large circle from the cardboard, about 30 cm in diameter. 2. Divide the circle into 8 equal sections and label them with different weather types (sunny, rainy, cloudy, etc.). 3. Use colored markers or crayons to decorate each section. 4. Attach a smaller circle in the center with a brad to allow it to spin. 5. Each day, spin the wheel and mark the actual weather on a separate chart. 6. Discuss with family how the weather changes throughout the week!
