1. Gather a clear plastic bottle and cut it in half. 2. Fill the bottom half with small stones for drainage. 3. Add a layer of soil (about 2 inches thick) on top of the stones. 4. Plant small seeds or place small plants in the soil. 5. Pour a little water to dampen the soil, then place the top half back on. 6. Place the bottle in sunlight and observe changes over the week.
