1. Gather a clear plastic bottle and cut it in half. 2. Place small stones at the bottom for drainage. 3. Add a layer of soil on top of the stones, about 3 cm thick. 4. Plant small seeds or a small plant in the soil. 5. Water it lightly, then place the bottle top back on to create a closed environment. 6. Observe daily for a week — what changes do you notice?
