This activity teaches children about the water cycle and the importance of water conservation. By observing evaporation and condensation, they grasp how water moves and the need to save it in our daily lives.
Through embodied cognition, children actively engage with the water cycle by creating visual representations. This hands-on experience allows them to connect theory to tangible actions, reinforcing the lessons of conservation.
1. Take a small plastic container and fill it with 1 cup of water. 2. Cover the container tightly with plastic wrap. 3. Place a small weight (like a stone) in the center of the wrap to create a dip. 4. Put the container in a sunny spot for an hour. 5. Observe and record any droplets that form on the plastic wrap. 6. Discuss how you can save water at home based on what you observed.
