Try it with your learner
1. Gather 10 different items: paper, plastic bottles, metal cans, and food wrappers. 2. Set up two bins labeled 'Recyclable' and 'Non-recyclable' 5 feet apart. 3. Start at the starting line and pick one item at a time. 4. Run to the bins and drop the item in the correct bin. 5. Return to the starting line for the next item. 6. Count how many items you sorted correctly — can you beat your time in the next round?
