      Why It Works

      The learning connection

Experiential learning enables children to grasp abstract concepts through visual and tangible representations. Observing water transform into vapor and then back into droplets showcases embodied cognition as they relate physical changes to scientific processes.

      Extend the Lesson

      Try it with your learner

      1. Fill a clear jar with 1 cup of warm water. 2. Place a small plate on top of the jar to cover it. 3. Add 2 ice cubes on the plate to cool it down. 4. Watch the warm water evaporate and condense on the plate. 5. Observe the droplets collecting — that's precipitation! 6. Discuss with Amma or Appa what happens next in the water cycle.
