By physically creating seed bombs, children engage in embodied cognition, linking the concept of planting to action. The tactile experience deepens their understanding of how planting seeds contributes to ecological health, reinforcing the learning through active participation.
1. Gather 1 cup of clay, 1 cup of compost, and 1/2 cup of flower seeds. 2. Mix clay and compost in a bowl until blended well. 3. Add flower seeds to the mixture and stir gently. 4. Add water a little at a time until the mixture is moist but not soggy. 5. Roll the mixture into small balls, about the size of a marble. 6. Let the seed bombs dry for 24 hours before planting them!
