1. Gather items: a piece of green paper (plant), a toy animal (herbivore), and another animal (carnivore). 2. Place the green paper on the table to represent a plant. 3. Position the herbivore toy next to the plant, showing it eats the plant. 4. Position the carnivore toy next to the herbivore, indicating it eats the herbivore. 5. Draw arrows on paper to represent the flow of energy between them. 6. Discuss what would happen if one part of the chain is removed.
