1. Collect 10 items from around your home (paper, plastic, metal, etc.). 2. Set up 4 bins labeled: Paper, Plastic, Metal, and Compost. 3. Sort each item into the correct bin based on its material type. 4. Discuss with your family why each item belongs in its bin. 5. Count how many items you sorted into each category. 6. Create a plan for how you can reuse or recycle these items.
