      1. Gather 5 dried chickpeas or moong beans and a small cup. 2. Fill the cup with wet cotton or soil, making it damp but not soggy. 3. Place the seeds evenly on the surface of the cotton or soil. 4. Cover them lightly with another layer of damp cotton or soil. 5. Place the cup in a warm, sunny spot and check daily for changes. 6. Record your observations — what do you see happening to the seeds?
