1. Gather banana peels, vegetable scraps, and a small container. 2. Add a layer of dried leaves or paper at the bottom of the container. 3. Layer the kitchen scraps on top of the dried leaves. 4. Sprinkle water lightly over the scraps to keep them moist. 5. Cover the container with a lid or cloth, allowing air in. 6. Check the container every week — what changes do you notice?
