1. Gather materials: 1 large plastic bucket with a lid, kitchen scraps (peels, leftovers), and dry leaves. 2. Add a layer of dry leaves at the bottom of the bucket. 3. Layer kitchen scraps on top, avoiding meat and dairy. 4. Add more dry leaves to cover the scraps. 5. Seal the bucket and place it in a sunny spot. 6. Check every week — what changes do you notice?
