1. Gather 10 items from your home like plastic bottles, paper, or electronics. 2. Use a carbon footprint calculator on a smartphone or print out a carbon footprint chart. 3. Examine each item and find its carbon footprint value using the chart. 4. Write down the footprint of each item next to it. 5. Sum all carbon footprints to find your total! 6. Discuss with your family ways to reduce this total.
