1. Gather a plastic bottle, cotton, sand, pebbles, and dirty water. 2. Cut the plastic bottle in half and invert the top half to form a funnel. 3. Place cotton at the neck of the funnel to act as the first filter. 4. Layer sand on top of the cotton, followed by a layer of pebbles. 5. Slowly pour the dirty water into the funnel and watch it filter through. 6. Collect the filtered water and observe the difference — how clean is it now?
