Engaging children in tracking their own water consumption utilizes embodied cognition, as they physically interact with measuring cups. This direct involvement helps solidify their understanding of hydration's role in health.
1. Gather a measuring cup (250ml) and a large bottle of water (1 liter). 2. Decide how much water to drink today (e.g., 6 cups of 250ml). 3. Each time you drink a glass of water, fill the measuring cup and pour it into your own container. 4. Keep track of your total by counting each filled cup. 5. At the end of the day, calculate how much water you’ve consumed. 6. Share your results with your family and discuss how you feel after staying hydrated.
