Using recycled materials taps into embodied cognition; as children manipulate objects, they create tangible connections between their ideas and the final product. This hands-on experience fosters problem-solving and critical thinking as they design their artwork.
1. Gather at least 5 recyclable materials (like plastic bottles, old newspapers, and cardboard). 2. Choose a base for your artwork (like a cardboard sheet or an old box). 3. Sketch your design on the base with a pencil. 4. Use glue to attach the recyclable items to your base, following your design. 5. Add colors or additional decorations using paints or markers. 6. Step back and admire your unique recycled masterpiece!
