1. Gather a paper plate, a straw, scissors, and a marker. 2. Draw numbers 1 to 12 around the edge of the plate. 3. Cut the straw into two pieces — one long (minute hand) and one short (hour hand). 4. Poke the center of the plate with a pencil to attach the straw pieces as hands. 5. Practice moving the hands to show different times. 6. Challenge a family member to guess the time you set!
