Using Bruner's CPA approach, children first create a concrete version of Sudoku with physical objects. Then they move to pictorial representations, before finally mastering the abstract number grid, allowing for deeper understanding through gradual scaffolding.
1. Draw a 4x4 grid on paper and number the rows and columns. 2. Fill in 5 numbers in the grid, leaving the rest blank. 3. Set a timer for 10 minutes. 4. Work together to fill in the remaining squares with numbers 1-4. 5. Check if each row, column, and box has all numbers without repeating. 6.
