Children enhance logical reasoning and pattern recognition by seeking numbers. This combines physical activity with problem-solving, making abstract relationships concrete.
By physically locating numbers, children engage their bodies and minds, embodying the challenge. This process aligns with Bruner's CPA approach, moving from concrete to abstract as they fill in the Sudoku grid.
1. Create a simple 4x4 Sudoku grid on paper with some numbers filled in. 2. Hide number cards (1-4) around your home. 3. Set a timer for 15 minutes to find all the numbers. 4. As you find each number, place it in the correct position on the Sudoku grid. 5. Once complete, check if the grid is correct — all rows, columns, and boxes should have no duplicates! 6. Swap grids with a family member and solve theirs!
