      The learning connection

Using Bruner's CPA approach, this hands-on activity encourages children to create visual representations of their stories, reinforcing learning through imagery. The process of drawing each scene makes abstract narrative elements tangible and fosters critical thinking.

      Extend the Lesson

      Try it with your learner

      1. Gather 6 sheets of paper and a pencil. 2. Decide on a story idea — it can be about your favorite animal! 3. Draw the beginning scene on the first sheet, illustrating the introduction. 4. Sketch scenes 2 through 5, showing the main events. 5. On the last sheet, create the conclusion or resolution. 6. Share your storyboard with family — how does your story end?
