Utilizing Vygotsky's scaffolding principle, children receive support as they ascend through varying levels of difficulty. Each solved puzzle builds confidence and encourages them to tackle more challenging logic problems, enhancing their metacognitive skills.
1. Prepare 5 logic puzzles of increasing difficulty (e.g., riddles, number patterns). 2. Write each puzzle on a separate piece of paper. 3. Shuffle and place them face down in a stack. 4. Take turns with a family member picking the top puzzle to solve together. 5. Discuss strategies for each puzzle before solving. 6. Celebrate the completion of all puzzles — did you find strategies that worked well?
