Shapes and sorting.
Sorting requires simultaneous observation, classification, and decision-making — three cognitive processes that build executive function. When children physically move shapes into groups, they develop schema flexibility used in all future categorisation.
1. Cut out shapes. 2. Sort by color. 3. Sort by type. 4. Glue in groups.
