      Why It Works

      The learning connection

Embodied cognition helps learners grasp complex ideas like rights when they physically act them out. This method taps into Vygotsky's scaffolding, where children build understanding through guided interactions and peer support, enhancing retention through engagement.

      Extend the Lesson

      Try it with your learner

      1. Write down 5 fundamental rights on separate pieces of paper. 2. Fold the papers and place them in a bowl. 3. Take turns picking a paper and acting out the right without speaking. 4. Others guess which right is being acted out. 5. Discuss what each right means after guessing correctly. 6. Keep score of points for correct guesses — the one with the most wins!
