1. Gather 5 meters of string or twine and scissors. 2. Use the string to outline a rectangular shape on the floor. 3. Measure each side with a ruler to find the length and width. 4. Calculate the perimeter by adding all sides together. 5. Draw your shape and write the perimeter on paper. 6. Challenge a family member to create their own shape and measure it!
