Try it with your learner
1. Gather 12 colored buttons or beads from your home. 2. Choose 3 colors to create a pattern. 3. Arrange the buttons in a sequence (e.g., red, blue, green, red, blue, green). 4. Ask a family member to identify your pattern. 5. Switch roles and let them create a pattern for you to decode. 6. Discuss which patterns were easiest or hardest to identify and why.
