This activity enables children to explore essential nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, and fats through simple experiments. By observing the reactions, they understand how different foods affect our bodies and health.

1. Gather materials: bread, oil, sugar, vinegar, water, test tubes/jars. 2. Label the jars: 'Carbohydrates', 'Fats', 'Sugars', 'Acids'. 3. Place a small piece of bread in the 'Carbohydrates' jar and add a few drops of water. 4. In the 'Fats' jar, add a teaspoon of oil and mix. 5. For the 'Sugars' jar, dissolve a spoonful of sugar in water. 6. Observe changes in each jar and discuss with family members what nutrients you think each food contributes.
