Engaging in physical movement while focusing on breath exemplifies embodied cognition, linking mental processes to physical actions. This helps children internalize relaxation techniques while fostering attention control.
1. Stand in an open space with your family. 2. Inhale deeply and raise your arms above your head to form a star shape. 3. Exhale slowly while bringing your arms down and bending to touch your toes, forming a triangle. 4. Repeat the breathing pattern while changing shapes — like a circle or a wave. 5. Try to hold each shape for three breaths. 6. Share with your family how each shape made you feel during the exercise.
