Embodied cognition suggests that physical actions, like blowing bubbles, can anchor abstract concepts such as concentration and relaxation. This interplay fosters a deeper understanding of how breathing influences focus and calmness.
1. Gather a bubble solution (or mix soap and water) and a bubble wand. 2. Take a deep breath in through your nose for 4 seconds. 3. Slowly blow out through your mouth, creating bubbles. 4. Notice how many bubbles float away — keep a count! 5. Try to blow bubbles with longer breaths and see if you can make even bigger ones! 6. Share your experiences with family — how did breathing help create more bubbles?
