Engaging in a dual-task challenge utilizes the principles of embodied cognition, where physical movement aids cognitive processes. Running while remembering card positions creates a stimulating environment that enhances focus and memory retention.
1. Gather 10 pairs of cards (or cut paper into squares) and mix them up. 2. Lay the cards face down in a 2x10 grid. 3. Place a marker 5 steps away from the grid. 4. Run to the grid, flip two cards, and try to remember their positions. 5. If they match, remove them; if not, flip them back. 6. Race against a family member — who can match all pairs first?
