Engaging in memory games activates neural pathways associated with recall. Vygotsky's scaffolding comes into play as children can learn from partners, enhancing memory retention through collaborative practice.
1. Gather 12 pairs of identical items (like buttons or cards). 2. Shuffle the items and place them face down in a grid (6 x 4). 3. Take turns flipping over two items — if they match, keep them! 4. If not, turn them back face down and try to remember their positions. 5. Continue until all pairs are matched. 6. Reflect on which pairs were hardest to remember and why.
