Using the dual-task challenge, children must memorize card positions while flipping them. This taps into Vygotsky's scaffolding, as they practice and improve their memory skills while having support from family members.
1. Gather 20 index cards and write 10 pairs of matching images or words. 2. Shuffle the cards and lay them face down in a grid. 3. Take turns flipping over two cards at a time to find matches. 4. If you find a match, keep the pair and take another turn. 5. If not, flip them back and let the next player try. 6. Count how many pairs you collected at the end — can you beat your last score?
