      The learning connection

Simulated interviews engage children in real-world scenarios, fostering embodied cognition as they physically enact the role of interviewer and interviewee. Vygotsky's scaffolding principle is applied as they receive feedback, refining their speaking abilities through collaborative learning.

      Extend the Lesson

      Try it with your learner

      1. Gather 2 chairs to set up an interview space. 2. One person prepares 5 interview questions about a chosen topic. 3. The other person practices answering each question for 1 minute. 4. Switch roles and repeat the process. 5. Record the interview on a smartphone for review. 6. Discuss what went well and what could be improved after watching the recording.
