Mapping engages children through spatial awareness and visual learning. Using Bruner's CPA approach, children first create a concrete representation of their environment, then engage in pictorial mapping, enhancing their cognitive connection to local history.
1. Take a blank sheet of paper and draw your neighborhood's layout. 2. Identify at least 5 important historical spots (like temples, forts, etc.). 3. Mark these spots on your map with symbols. 4. Write a short description beside each spot about its significance. 5. Decorate your map with colors and drawings. 6. Share your map with family and explain why each spot is important!
